This set has lids that seal against the saucepans with a vertical lid lip. This is typical of all cookware sets, however this is not true "waterless cooking". One aspect of a waterless cooking set is that the lids must have a horizontal mating surface with the pan. That surface must be a minimum of 1/4" wide.
