100cookwares presents this 11 3/4" inside diameter Electric Skillet with 5-ply stainless steel construction. It features stainless steel construction, a stainless steel high dome cover, and a tempered glass cover. This is a top seller, one reason is that it comes with two covers, not just one.

The stainless steel high-dome cover allows cooking large food items or it can be used by itself as a stove-top griddle. The glass lid lets you see while you cook. When using the high dome cover as a separate cooking pan, it will accept the glass lid on it too.

The skillet has a phenolic heat resistant pedestal base and "stay cool" handles.

This skillet features a multi-ply bottom for even heat distribution. What does this mean? This appliance has stainless steel on the inside cooking surface and the outside surface. However steel transfers heat fast and this can allow the food directly above the heating element to burn.

So between the layers of stainless on this skillet there are layers of alloys containing aluminum, which transfers heat slower. This allows the heat to disperse towards the sides of the skillet. This feature allows for much more even heat, and yet your food is never in contact with aluminum. The stainless high dome cover has the same feature on it.
