Checkers is a contemporary design. The checker pattern is only on the salad plate but we do not think that checkers pattern to be the main feature of this set. It is the straight sided design in our view that sets this apart.

This is a Sango stoneware dinnerware set. Sango dinnerware is very popular. The pieces are handcrafted, and have glaze, color, and surface variations. No two pieces are exactly the same.

Sango china is a stoneware dish that is dishwasher safe and usable in the microwave. There are several current lines of Sango dishware available from 100cookwares.com.

The four Checkers color lines (black, sienna, cream, & green) do not come as our typical four different sets (4A, 4B, 8A, & 8B). This is because the available pieces are limited to the 16pc place setting set and the 5pc Completer Set. In our 8C set you do get two of the 16pc place setting sets and one 5pc Completer Set; making service for eight. The 8C set is discounted five percent from individual piece pricing.

By the way, remember that if you ever need individual place setting pieces (any piece from the 16pc place setting set such as the stoneware dinner plate), or any individual stoneware plate or other pieces you can get them from us.
