Plaza Ebony has a charcoal colored trim, which has an interesting and styling matte/spackle finish. The main color of the Plaza pieces are either tan brown (Plaza Brown), and green (Plaza Ebony) and in the Sango tradition of being reactively glazed. Whoever designed this had some taste! This set is twenty percent heavier then most Sango Sets, it is heavier duty and harder to break.
This is a Sango stoneware dinnerware set. Sango dinnerware is very popular. The pieces are handcrafted, and have glaze, color, and surface variations. No two pieces are exactly the same. It is glazed twice with different shades of color in each glaze. This allows the colors to run together with great effect. This glazing method is called reactive glazing.
Sango china is a stoneware dish that is dishwasher safe and usable in the microwave or oven. Sango dishware is lead free.
